posted a few minutes ago in a thread about a SEA guild looking to transfer off SoS on official forums
this is not a solution to the rating problems. likely: et, hod, and or fc will become stacked with disgruntled, returning, or enthusiastic players looking for a new home. transfer rates will be unpredictable and extremely uneven, and while it COULD be for the better of the wvw matches, it could also be for the worse.

I thought we registered as a high population server most of the time.
Still it would be nice to be on the receiving end of some transfers rather than the opposite. Might make things interesting.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it will be nice to see our WvW community grow in FC and have numbers to compete (note, the transfer may also be PvE players; or both). On the other hand, this may just prolong SF from leaving our Tier  . At least if the latter happens and the transfer we get are WvW, it would be nice to see how the match-up would be on an even playing fields *grin* |

You have no fucking idea how much it would please me for our server to have a shit-ton of top-tier guild bandwagoners come and just destroy Sorrow's Furnace's ass for the next few weeks. Just to watch them whine and squirm around the official forums with, "ANET! THIS ISN'T FAAAAAIIIIR! DO SOMETHING!" |

Between this and the WvW progression system going in, things may be about to get weird. On the whole it could be good or bad, but for the first time in months I'm not completely sure where we'll be at the end of next week, which itself is a very good thing.

Really makes me mad lol. I switched last night when I had to pay either 20G or 15$. I went ahead and bought the gems and switched to see this morning it is free... >_<
