I wrote a little utility to monitor and notify about activities in WvW. I thought I share it here for anybody interested who thinks it's helpful. Download link is here

How often does it self-update? Every five minutes or so?

Well god damn, Cosmic; excellent work from the Germans yet again. Have you published this on the official Guild Wars 2 forums yet?

Thanks man , I'm glad you like it. No, I didn't post it over there. I'm pretty bad with self-promotion

hmm
its interesting, well done, has a lot of information i think id like to have at my fingertips.
but is it anything id have something to say about at a wvw meeting? maybe... is it something i would look at while im in wvw to get a better grasp of what currently needs to happen for our team and how i can fill that need? im not sure.
i love the lcd display thing, thats useful to have on a screen and great tool for tracking larger troop movements. i dont have one of those keyboards though. could you do an overlay like the ts3 overlay? can you change borderland camp names to be [r/g/b] bl [s/n/se/sw/ne/nw] camp? towers/keeps too... to me the actual names of the POI's arent interesting or descriptive, and in some cases are confusing (godsword, godslore -> abbreviate as gods -> which map am i in???).

Glad you like it. Some good points you have. The Objectives have a color coding already with the objective icon painted in the BL-color. To have a second name set to choose from for the Objectives is a good idea. I'm not sure what the common naming convention is. Before giving any thought for an overlay I'm going to work on a map display. Overlays can be nice but I think the GW2 screen is cluttered enough as is, with mini map and chat window. I wish I could move those on a second screen . Have to see how much work this would be and what this overlay should contain. I'm going to change the Score chart to percentages. This will give you a better feel for the numbers. If you have more ideas .... just keep them coming

Good work so far Cosmic. If you haven't already checked out the gw2.millenium.org/na tool and live map, you may want to. A lot of the same ideas are executed there and you may be able to use some of it. Make sure and check out the live maps as well: gw2.millenium.org/na/matchups/map/957Hope this helps. Looking forward to see what more you can do!

Thanks Quainee. I know the millenium site used it from day 1 Ideas are always welcome. I'm sure the requirements are different whether you have 1 or 2 screens hooked up. btw. There is an update available with an improved wvw map.

just throwing this out there cuz ive posted this idea before on official forums in the thread of a guy who was lookin for some ideas for his new site and ways to differentiate himself from MOS (he was like "oh interesting idea!" which really meant thatd be cool but a lot of work and is outside the scope of my request for suggestions.): id be interested in seeing a map that has a per structure breakdown of how many ticks each team has held each objective. you could assign a hex code color based on each teams ownership percentage. like if say green garr is held by green the whole time its dot would be #00ff00, or if red and blue fight over blue's nw tower and each get about the same amount of points off it it would appear as #880088, a dark magenta, or maybe camps would be fairly likely to show as gray anywhere #555555. that would be a map id likely have something to say about at wvw meetings, and would probably at least glance at it throughout the week to see if theres something i should be hitting. on another note, i love MOS's live maps... and yours here looks like a simplified version with a bit less clutter in the icons. good for people who already know what each objective is, not so good for noobs who wouldnt know camps from towers without the icons. (personally, i like it better as it is.) one thing MOS does have is clickable tooltips with length of ownership and claiming info. does yours? could it if it doesnt? i find it really nice sometimes to know whos claiming a location, especially in the absence of map chat responses or when idk the local blue doritos guild membership. or when i see an emblem i like app form (yours) vs in-browser (MOS)... shrug. ambivalent.

Thanks for the feedback rikkity. The data you mentioned is in the list in the lower left already. It would be a matter to display it in nice a way on the map. It shows the time the objective was taken ( since tracking was active ), from whom it was claimed and the number of times it was flipped. If you click the row of the objective if shows the guilds Emblem , Tag and Name. The notifications show guild Tag and Name as well. The last update 1.3.1 has the logo of the structure type ( camp , tower , keep and castle ) in the map display. Thanks again Updated screen shot can be found here
