I am trying to create the ultimate warrior build. My current build utilizes axes and sword to greatly increase the amount of damage that I do. Upon request, I can post my skill set. But, I wanna ask you guys.
What is your favorite warrior build?
My Build:
My setup is a combination between zerker and axe builds. For traits, I have 20 in strength, 25 in arms, 10 in tactics, and 15 in discipline
Strength:
My static properties:
Reckless Dodge, and Build Momentum
My dynamic properties:
Berserker's power, and Axe Mastery
Basically, what these skills state, is what when my adrenaline is at max and I am wielding my axe in my primary, I do 10% extra crit, and do 12% extra damage.
The only one of my static properties that actually makes a difference is build momentum. It dictates that when I use my burst skills (last on the axe default) I gain more endurance
Arms:
My static properties:
Precise Strikes, Critical Burst, and Attack of Opportunity
My dynamic properties:
Furious Reaction, Forceful Great sword
Not the most important traits, but still playing a big role, Arms contributes to a quite a decent percentage of my damage output. In summation, my traits say then on crits, 33% of the time, I will inflict a bleed. And, my static grandmaster trait compliments that by stating that I will do more damage to targets that have bleeds. A little bit condition damage is just the cherry on top for my build.
At minimal, I recommend putting a minimal 10 points in this tree, since you can then unlock furious reaction since, it grants you fury and vigor when you take dmg larger than 10% of your health. Considering that this is a glass cannon build, this trait is quite useful, and will be used constantly.
Finally, if you plan on using a great sword, then critical burst and forceful greatsword will be a great friend of yours. Considering that an objective of this build is to build up as much might as possible, to give out the highest damage threshold, then these traits will be of great assistance. On hundred blades, you have a 10% increased crit chance, and for every crit you do, you gain more might. This will be improved upon later.
Tactics:
My static properties:
Determined Revival
My Dynamic Properties:
Empowered
Considering how many guardians there are in WvW and dungeons, it would be almost an act of stupidity to run warrior without empowered. It states that for every boon on you, your damage output gets a considerable buff. (I have noticed its about 2% per boon) With the amount of might and furry you should be building up, you should constantly have a 4% damage increase.
Discipline:
My static properties:
Versatile rage, Fast Hands
My dynamic properties:
Heightened Focus
My static properties are probably the most important thing here. They state that when I swap weapons, I gain 5 strikes of adrenaline, and that my weapon swap recharges 5 seconds faster.
Besides that, I have heightened focus, which states that at max adrenaline, I have another 9% crit damage. This is extremely useful for when you have to swap to your axe quickly and gain another 19% crit damage
My Armour:
My Armour is full exotic zerker. (I have some ascended rings, but not on me at the time)
With a peak crit damage of 107% (on my axe) I can easily hit into 4k - 5k on my default. For food, I use omnom berry pies just for a little bit more of survivability. Certainly the most important thing about all of my armour is the Major sigil of strength. 20% of the time that I crit, I can gain EVEN MORE might. This is extremely useful for keeping the amount of boons up. You can also use for great justice to keep your boons up, but I suggest using other utility skills, and letting the guardian manage providing you with more boons.
