Soon World XP in guild wars is going to move to be account wide. All "earned" XP will go into a pool for each character on your account to spend (the same number of points). Which means every character will benefit from all the XP earned across all characters and they can all progress their own chosen path. This is a great change in my opinion and will make WvW more alt friendly. Start playing those alts! Play the class that will benefit the server the best be it as a roamer, small objective group, zerg, etc. Source: www.guildwars2.com/en/news/world-xp-and-you/?utm_source=clientWhat do you think of the change? Any questions or concerns you may have? See anything bad about the change?

I wonder if they are going to make the beginning levels at 5000. If not, an easy way of getting those ranks is through the use of playing on new WvW chars. Also, I hope they track what char has what levels. If not, I see playing leveling and then deleting and repeating the process.

Also, I hope they track what char has what levels. If not, I see playing leveling and then deleting and repeating the process. Only the first 5 Ranks are less than 5,000 WXP. This means each character (by default setting of 5 max allotted character slots) would earn 5 Ranks, giving the player a 25 Rank boost in total. 25 ranks is nothing! You want to farm ranks? Just be active with your main, do your dailies, monthlies, and always collect as many badges as you can. You know why? Because you can BUY a rank ("Taste of Liquid WXP" which gives 5,000 WXP per) at the Laurel Vendor in WvW for 2 Laurels and 50 Badges of Honor! I just bought 20 ranks yesterday, bringing me to Level 2 Cannon Mastery (had 5 Rank Points spare and Level 1 already) and Level 2 Trebuchet Mastery. If not, I see playing leveling and then deleting and repeating the process. Um, no? The keyword here being "deleting," because once a character is deleted, it no longer adds to that collective pool of rank points; thus, ranking up 5 ranks, then deleting, then recreating only gets you 5 points in total, not 10 had you of been storing points in a bank.

If they are going to do this I assume they are not adding ranks across all characters rather they add up all WXP. So it doesn't matter how much WXP is needed for the first 5 or any other.

I agree with Cosmic that I believe they are adding WXP and not ranks.
