It seems that we don't care so much about Bloodlust. I noticed, even if we have most or all of our BL that for very long time periods we don't have Bloodlust. The buffs you get with Bloodlust (+30/+50/+60) to power, precision, toughness, vitality, healing power, and condition damage are nice to have but more important is the 1 War Score per player killed via a finisher ( This applies to all maps ). Just think about how many players are getting killed in 15 minutes across all maps. 10 is the equivalent of holding a tower for the same time period or 25 for a keep. Not having this buff is losing out on those points. Denying Bloodlust to the opposing teams removes them the ability to score those points. I think points scored via Bloodlust are quite a few and adding up during a week to a good amount. If a commander is leaving our BL after taking back objectives please make sure to do so after Bloodlust is regained or better take it back first in case we lost it on our BL. It doesn't take long with a few players. In GW2BattleStats you can see on which BL we own Bloodlust and see the score from PPT and killing things ( this includes Sentries 1 point and Yaks 3 Points )

I agree that bloodlust is important. I find the other teams in our bracket don't see its value either. Taking bloodlust is easy, 1 person is able to move between 2 ruins and hold them which means you only need a group of 2 and you should be able to hold 4 ruins and cap bloodlust if there is little resistance.
We just need people to not be shy and form smaller groups focused on taking objectives rather than joining the karma train.
I would be interested to know the average of how many points are obtained from bloodlust in a given week. Should not be too hard to figure out a ballpark number if you have the data Cosmic. "Total points from objectives (camps, towers, etc)" - "Point total" = Points from bloodlust + Sentry caps.

Around 25% of the Home Borderland Score and around 30% of the Battle Ground Score is from killing things (Player stomps / Sentries / Yaks).

Around 25% of the Home Borderland Score and around 30% of the Battle Ground Score is from killing things (Player stomps / Sentries / Yaks). That's actually a lot larger of a percentage than I had thought! I was expecting 10-15% max! But, the fact remains, that Sentries and Dolyaks give out more WXP, Karma, Gold, and EXP from killing them, than Bloodlust does (nothing on its own and nothing extra except points for the server and bonus stats when downing a player). I really don't understand why Arenanet didn't see that most individual roamers are responsible for killing Dolyaks and Sentries, whereas those exact same individual roamers would not be inclined to taking Bloodlust, simply due to the lack of reward.
