I haven't commanded in a long time. Some of the old commanders know me as Fapo. I have been in FoE, Deth, and Agg (Yes, that Agg)and I am now a solo-roamer in Yarr. I think that overall our server is doing a good job playing the blob game but the second we don't have enough to create a good blob we suck. We need to focus more on player skill more than this zerg train shit. Yes, it's important to practice how to blob up but when there is no one online, 10 of us can't even wipe 5 of them. It's truely sad. I think that players should start focusing on learning one class and become good with it so we can at least hold our own during off hours. Today I commanded, I only had 9 people on me, 3 of which was Yarr, and it seemed like everytime we came across other players everyone would wipe except Yarr. So basically you were slowing us down having to revive dead FC players afterwords. It's pretty pathetic. Another thing that happened like four times was the second we got siege out, they would jump from their tower and push on us. They would only have a few more players than us and you all would wipe and our siege would be destroyed. And again Yarr would have to revive you. This is not an issue during our prime-time because there are enough of us to zergball anything we see. This is only an issue during our off hours. Work on your own player skill especially if you play off hours as myself. Learn how to get better in sPvP or just try capping camps to better your player skill.

Heh. That's one of those things. We've spent months drilling folks in _large-group_ tactics. Conversely, that typically impacts small-man/solo know-how. You're in Yarr, bro - you lot are rather legendary roamers ... don't you think that may color your opinion somewhat? Now, as far as nearly equal-sized groups resulting in a Ferg wipe, that is a bit ridiculous. Wasn't long ago, you'd take Dan on his Ele, me running Mesmer, and ~3-5 TSers. We'd kill larger groups, with a bit of head-fuckery. Meh, I need to finish Guard and Warrior to 80, and get back to my main biz. (Mes/Thief/Ele).

the audience you want to reach is the people who dont respond to anything in any chat, only show up next to a commander tag, arent on ts, and occasionally jump on the bodies of the fallen

Not sure where i saw them, but i remember an interesting stat was that Ferg's had the most stomps (accounted for thirtysomething percent of our total score) in our first match-up for Seasons. Considering the fact that most stomps happen in smaller scale skirmishes and ignoring those of you cruel enough to not put your opponents of out their misery quickly, i'd say its a good indicator of individual skill and shows we're a pretty good server when it comes to smaller fights. Also considering the fact that we spent god-knows how long fighting way larger numbers since launch, i'd say we have a great bunch of players who are capable of handling themselves in fights when they are outnumbered. Maybe you just had a bad bunch, or the other guys where really good?

I think a big issue is that our guys need to learn to stand and fight a little more than trying to find safety at the back of the line. I had was pissed off yesterday with a large group of FC for exactly that. More often than not we push AR back, but obviously health starts dropping - and more often than not I suddenly find myself all alone in a group of AR with FC retreating to safer grounds for some reason.
You can only fight when facing the enemy, when turning tail and running your body will soon be spiked. I'd say more than 70% of FC are actually really good fighters and wins 1/2/3vs4/5/6 more than half the time.
But to mimic Rikkity's words: the crowd you're talking about probably has not heard of this forum...

But to mimic Rikkity's words: the crowd you're talking about probably has not heard of this forum... Implying anyone outside of the most obsessive GW2-ers would even care about it. I like it small (lel).
