There has been many theories as to why aren't even close to moving in the direction we want - faster, stronger, higher - up the US server ranks. But I for one as I have voiced in LA and our TS am of the belief that ALL the causes come from one source. And that is the poisonous belief and wide acceptance of the fantasy that we are and should be seen as a TRAINING SERVER ......!!!!  ??. Seriously W-T-F!!!!!!!!! That's the real reason we have lost waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many good people to other servers including WvW regulars AND Commanders. So the real question is: what are our current Guild Leaders and Commanders going to do about this situation that has been going on for way too long. May I suggest that we should start seeing ourselves as worthy of normal-ness. That we have ever right to seek be - faster, stronger, higher. Every journey starts with the first step. So why not start now? |

Which Ferg refer's to our server as a "Training Server"?
The silent majority who only go into WvW on a casual basis if at all. Who get their misguided "information from frustrated guild mates and other disgruntled players taking an online break at our FC citadel/garrison or one of any number of towers/camps in WvW.
This opinion/view point is repeated many times. Many times as a result of this comment being made the participates go offline/go out of WvW.
And so when their guild leadership make suggestions of moving to another server, these same ppls are all for it. Since they are then told that the target server has a better community and more successful in at least attracting ppls to WvW.
The opinion has been passed AND accepted for at least 6-10 months now, from guild to major guild and vice versa. And most take no note of it and see it as harmless banter. IT IS NOT HARMLESS nor is it BANTER! (Since banter is inconsistent and a minority opinion). What its is the cancer that has affected us all this time!

I personally think that we have a great server that I really enjoy playing on. Yeah, we may not have a large population like some other servers, but we more than make up for this with our friendly attitude towards each other, acceptance of new players, and general "having fun" attitude.
I was origanly on a tier 1 europe server and it was crap. So many ppl that you had no identity, cmdrs would swear and go crook at other players especially on TS. Yeah they were at the top but buggered if it was any fun.
FC is where I belong.......

What its is the cancer that has affected us all this time! i dont see these things cuz i neither am in a large wvw focused guild nor do i bother sitting around spawn when i can [solo camps or *glance* at my map and see a group taking a structure] or [afk for long than 10 minutes in a pve map] not saying it dont happen, just that im actually surprised casuals have this attitude. |

If what you say is true how else can one explain our server situation of even the last 6 months? Why are we seemingly forever stuck in Tier 8? If I am actually imagining what is not there we would be at least firmly in Tier 7. Contesting for say the 17th position on the US Server. There has been many explainations offered during this same time period, and none tell the whole story. And so I stand by my statement without any major qualification if any. |
