I'm also curious why there's so much emphasis on moving up. You get the same thing for winning T1 as you do for losing T8: Jack and shit, and Jack left town. Are the fights that bad in EB?

Exactly. Where's the fun if you don't advance through the ranks? It would be so great to go through the whole experience of being very bottom tier and moving up to the top. We're the underdogs, and those are always the funnest games to watch, as well as play, as I'm finding out.

We may not have as many ppl as HoD or ET but we r better skill wise. As u can tell we r winning so far this week. The rankings arnt broken however people don't understand how it works. Moving up in teir may eve cause some guilds on HoD and ET to transfer as well as guilds from the server we push out of T7. Which would start to solve our lack of coverage issue. And as we continue to move up more ppl will start to WvW and our numbers will grow, the problem is we have to many PvErs and thats where all our people are. But as we start to move up more and more ppl will want to try WvW and see how much better it is. Like I said earlier wvw is a competitive game and need to be given more time and appreciation. Yea its about fun, but what's fun about being in last. Basically says ur the worst at what ur doing. So lets not sit in t8 most of us want out its not going to change the community if we do its just gonna re-enforce a change in attitude towards GW2

1st i was at work trying to get a quick msg in before i got called back up. so sorry for your inconvenience of having to read "r" and "u" and get upset. im not shit stirring at all in fact im trying to get yall pumped for WvW and when people say they dont want to move up and they dont care it, it angers me, im a commander on FC i transferred from the #1 Server to get more commanding time in, and when people say they dont care or its not worth it, or start saying rating is fucked up. Im gonna say something back. Ive said this many of times now WvW IS COMPETITIVE IF U DONT LIKE IT go to PvE or PvP. we (as a server) want to get out of T8. Im sorry if 10 people think we shouldnt and to be quite frank I dont give a shit. I like u guys or i wouldnt have transferd over my main account but i came over here to win not to sit around with our thumbs up our asses.

So sorry you think WvW is all messed up, sorry you cant read a few miss spellings from someone trying to get their point across, and maybe this is why people dont pay attention to map chat, is grammar that big of a deal? do we need to be like "excuse me sirs but if you would ever so kindly please move your characters on top of mine so we can gain might as a collective group, if so it would be ever so kind."

and rik. moving up does show that the server is getting better. the fact that we found that little time lapse proves we are paying more attention to HoD and ET and giving us a tactical advantage over them. and We hold towers for the Ticks not the be like "oh look we have your shit be jelly baddies." Moving up shows the non-WvWers that we could use them in WvW and if they see we went up a tier imagine how many people would be like "oh wow we are doing pretty well in WvW maybe ill give it a try" then our man issue starts to get solved, but we need commitment and not people saying rating is useless no point in going up tiers, we should just sit here and do nothing. We all dedicate a lot of time and effort into this game. the commanders are working together to try to get more players interested in WvW as well as keep us moving forward on the server. So to me its basically saying "hey locators, i dont appreciate you or any of the other commanders."

thats my 2 cents take it as you will. I would really appreciate these negative dont bring the server up type of comments / threads to stop, if u dont like the competitive game-play you probably shouldnt be playing WvW to begin with.

look, im not saying we shouldnt try to move up. i believe in doing the best you can with what you have. thats very much in line with moving up. with training the troops to be better players. with training commanders to win battles. with adapting. with creative solutions to breaking a defense.

but dude, you should know coming from jq that better coverage and more manpower is so heavily reflected in the ratings that skill is nothing more than white noise. you NEED to have approximately equal manpower in order to judge tactical skill.
