A community ts account that is not actually community run is not worth a damn. Just my opinion on that one.
As for this calling people out about not running toughness gear. I would suggest people don't do that. More so just ask people to join your forum and check out some great build suggestions when they got a moment. Yes its frustrating as all hell to run with a bunch of glassy builds. Just promote the builds you want within your guild. Get your guild's name out there, people will start asking you guys what builds you run than you simply say 'bunker.' and than they think well if it works for them maybe I will try it.
It takes a long time to change the attitude from people running builds with 0 group utility to finally getting people to understand the value in having the group be stronger than the individual.
As for getting people on ts3. Simply post the address tell them you will give them cookies and loot if they join and see what happens. Are people that don't jump in ts3 bad? maybe not but i perosnally think they are next to worthless. Having said that the way to get them in the game and involved is not by being blunt about it. Ts3 makes the game so much more fun. You just got to find a way to show them that. Maybe get some community nights together where you do a drinking night over ts3 and just have a wild fun time.

This comes down to the old adage folk from my Grandpa's time always used. Namely, "You'll catch more flies with honey, than with salt." It's also pretty true. Trying to force-change folk who've used "their" build for a while's like bashing your head off of a wall, it's just going to hurt you. Now, running a tight, synergistic squad that Gets. Shit. Done. That creates interest. And interest's what'll bring folk to you, in order to learn exactly what makes you so damned effective. Also, no one complains about cookies and loot. Unless they're a diabetic monk.

I agree with alaric I'm sadly one of the soft type, I like to encourage and my philosophy is sometimes pushing things unto people makes them build a resentment towards it, sometimes you will get a resistance, say you scream noobs if you're wiping then you aren't a bunker build, I grew up with there's a time and space for everything, everything has it's place, one way I see it yes glass cannons suck in bigger groups I get 2 shotted by pesky thieves at times and or they stealth run when they can't take me, but a basic tactic any politician or leader does is the butter their popcorn, sweeten their cookie dough and add a wee bit of sweetness no matter how frustrating and keyboard smashing they make you, once you get their attention on you, that's when you hit them with it, idk how well this works, but i think some dos builds might work in mix of a bunker group, have the bunkers in front to take most of the heat and lay down fields etc, have the glass ones rush from back or rangers hit from the back and do a clean up, idk if a tactic of such as full tank healers and disruptors in from followed by semi bunker field droppers and stunners, followed by dps barragers, of course this is situational as it only works if you go head on to your opponent, if somehow flanked it could get messy. I am always open minded so any suggestions, nothing fails until tried, unless of course some things are more logic based than others, also work with what we have sometimes we won't have everything and we must make use of what is given, yesterday we held down Anzalias, all walls destroyed only 9 or so of us vs a zerg of 30+, i had the staff tank heal guard on, laid down line of warding at bottom of stairs, popped a shelter and the shield num 5, ran retaliation, regen and protection, popped a time of wrath while we had no fields, we stuck together under my bubble until more showed up and hit them from behind, Fear the Dead showed up and killed the stragglers they tried 3 times and 3 times they couldn't take anz, even though they were trebbing from SMC, and every defense was down, but some nice siege (cats,ACS) set down were they couldn't reach them and 4 manning the siege and 5 stacked in the stairs, impenetrable, of course if Agg would have been there than different story, but lesson is do with what is at hand, also some kind soul donated his siege to us in that battle.

The whole reason behind making a new TeamSpeak is because for one, Kern has no knowledge for what an Admin can do with a TeamSpeak server. Two, We don't need a kid running the TeamSpeak, locking channels, banning people, kicking people, deleting channels. It causes havoc on TeamSpeak, especially when people are all in the middle of a fight on restart night. Three, we NEED a community TeamSpeak that is "Run by the community" as Alaric said. This TeamSpeak is run by the community, we have mods from different guilds and everything. I am the only head Admin on TeamSpeak only because I know the controls of everything and i'm almost always on to watch over things. On the old TeamSpeak Kern had tons of pointless tags that was just useless spam that's not needed. He did not know how to organize channels at all and/or permissions. HE had to give me Server Admin to handle all of that but there is a 'Server Query Admin' which only he has. There were things that he messed up that needed to be fixed and I had no way to do so without SQA. This new TeamSpeak is fine, it is the servers TeamSpeak, no guilds have any special treatment here. All some guilds get it Passwords on their channels if they want them. Now, from stating the situation on our move we should all agree this new TeamSpeak is our home, everyone has already moved over and we do not need anymore Server drama over it. It's just a simple switch.

LIGHT SPEED FOREVER. [WZ] FOREVER. TRAAAAITOOOOORS, ALL OF YOU. TRAAAAAITOOOOOORS. In any case... Edwin did us all a huge favor by putting together the server TS in the first place. Even if it didn't pan out he helped get the ball rolling in a big way and I think we ought to have some gratitude for that instead of just kicking sand in his eyes now that we've moved on elsewhere.

Before TS, we were all pugs =)I think its important to respect each other. Not all of us are seasoned vets of wvw. If we want more people from our server to join us, we have to start working on helping each other out.. not putting them down. So, not everyone is going to have all their traits exactly right... not everyone is going to have the bomb ass gear... not everyone is going to know that you don't put a flame ram on top of a tower.. but with guidance, from respectful people, I know we can dooo this =)
I have met respectful people here.. I know you guy's are trying your best to teach us what we need to know. It probably get's very frustrating, repeating things over and over. Don't give up on us and we will keep trying our best to get better at combo fields/finishers and working as a team.

I have no problem with Edwin, personally. Nice guy and community driven. But, I thought at the time and still think we should not have continued on in a TS server that has a history of being fucked with wholesale at a whim. Shuffling people around and moving and deleting channels in the middle of a very busy reset night with zero warning -- whatever the reasons were, good or bad -- is unacceptable. Yes, I know he changed it back. But I've seen no guarantees that it won't happen again. Plus the constant dragging of people out of one channel to another channel, my God. If I got pulled out of a channel I was trying to accomplish something in by an admin without permission -- something I know happened on the old TS server -- I would tell that particular admin to rightly go fuck his or herself right in the ol' arsehole with a Coca-Cola classic glass bottle.
I admire and appreciate what Edwin did with the original server. It really was a great first step in bringing the community together. But, from my perspective, it wasn't properly managed and some of the admins got too clever. Don't fix what ain't broken. The new TS was needed under different administrators. Simple as that.

Speaking of drama, can we keep any in house bickering to our own forums/Teamspeak and off of the official guild wars 2 forums? Thanks.
Lets stay classy.

I've been watching things for awhile now and believe although Ferguson's Crossing is blessed to have its own somewhat 'official' forums, the above sorts of sums up the reason why the forum community is only a pitiful shadow, a pittance of Ferguson's true number. More often than not there isn't a discussion, only cock wagging. Look around. Wow. Bravo. Champagne. Cheers. High-five. Slow clap. You got the damn <castle/tower/insert artifact of overinflated value here>, didn’t you? You must have me confused with somebody who gives a flying rat's ass. You speak of drama and you point fingers. Well I'll tell you it takes two hands to clap. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? If you want to make a difference lead by example, stop bickering amongst yourselves.

Thank you for pointing out to us that Stonemist Castle wasn't a victory to be celebrated over, despite the fact that the majority of the time we're capturing it with groups of 75% puggers. By the way, what was your character's in-game name? I just can't seem to recall a commander of your nature assisting in the TeamSpeak channel.
